Construction progress of Vientiane (Laos) international airport terminal expansion project in August 2017

In August 2017, construction of the Vientiane (Laos) international airport terminal expansion project has been urgently implemented to ensure the overall progress of the project.

Up to August 25, 2017, at the International passenger terminal West (IPTB West), 50% of the workload has been inspected and handed-over as scheduled. On September 1, 2017, the Owner will hold the entering ceremony to prepare for putting the finished items into operation. The remaining works inside the Terminal and hall are also being completed for handing-over on September 30, 2017. On October 31, 2017, sewer and auxiliary items outside the terminal will also be finished and handed-over to the Owner.

Besides, at the International passenger terminal East (IPTB East), the whole reinforced concrete structure has been completed and moved to build both brick walls and concrete walls. Gypsum ceiling and partition works have also started being carried out since 25 August.

At the International concourse, gypsum ceiling and partition are continuing to be done. The Eurowindow aluminum frame outside the 3rd floor has been finished and being continued to install glass as well as constructed outside the 2nd floor.

It is expected that the whole Project will be handed-over to the Owner on December 31, 2017.
