Construction progress updated in July 2017 at Vientiane (Laos) international airport terminal expansion project.
At present, finishing work for both internal and external areas of the International passenger terminal West (IPTB West) is urgently executed for timely handing-over to the Owner on August 25, 2017. It is expected that by Aug 20, 2017, after finishing plastering and tiling external wall, the scaffolding system for outer construction will be dismantled. Concrete for drainage system is still being carried out and will be finished on Aug 15, 2017. The internal construction items such as tiling, gypsum wall and ceiling, wood doors and aluminum doors are also executed in line. All of the Vinyl floor, carpet and painting work consisting of both emulsified paint and rough paint have been completed.
At the International passenger terminal East (IPTB East), concrete slabs for the 3rd floor have been done. Workers and engineering team are still continuing carrying out column structure and machinery floor. As planned, the Eastern structure will be done on 20 Aug 2017. The internal walls have been started implementing, gypsum wall and ceiling are also prepared to carry out.
At the International concourse, after finishing concrete and structure works, finishing work for gypsum wall and ceiling is continued executing.
As proposed schedule, the IPTB East and International concourse will be handed over to the Owner at the same time on Dec 31, 2017.
